The Elite Club Challenge 2026 – Road to the World Cup Edition returns to Riverside Hockey Club from 16–19 July 2026, bringing South Africa’s most-watched club hockey tournament back to Durban North for four electrifying days of elite competition.
Hosted at Riverside Hockey Club within the vibrant Riverside Sports Club precinct, the event will once again celebrate high-performance hockey in a dynamic community sporting environment. Taking place just four weeks before the Hockey World Cup, the tournament forms part of Durban’s biggest rugby and hockey weekend, alongside the Springbok vs Wales Test Match at Kings Park, turning the city into a powerhouse of sport and celebration.
The annual Elite Club Challenge will once again unite top club players, passionate supporters and leading partners for a festival of world-class hockey, fan engagement and unforgettable moments.
